Life is good! Life is inspirational!

The Lace Lady

The lace lady adorns the wayside
With her bobbins weaving;
Crossing and twisting thread
Into the hedgerow
Ornamental filigree trimmings
Resplendent in their purity
Ahead their green stalks
Swaying in the breeze
As a veiled bride
Ready for her wedding

  1. I used to live in a village where one of those was as big as a tree with a trunk to match. They cut it down for safety and it made me sad.
    Thanks for the memories G

    • I read something recently about that happening somewhere else. Evidently Hogweed (which is the massive look-a-like to Cow Parsley) can burn skin when it’s touched. Maybe that’s why it had to go 😦

      • I don’t know. It stood on the riverbank near a public gate too, which might have had something to do with it. I loved that tree, it was amazing. I don’t remember much but I remember that like yesterday.
